                  Cherry Fruit Moth                      Argyresthia pruniella  (Clerck, 1759)

Flight period: July.

Forewing:  4.5 to 6mm.

Habitat: Woodland, orchards and gardens.

Larvae: Mines a flowering shoot of Cherry in March, later burrowing into the fruit and pupating in May. It overwinters as an egg.
