Argyresthia dilectella  (Zeller, 1847)

Flight period: July and August.

Forewing:  3 to 4mm.

Habitat: Downland, mountain sides, gardens.

Larvae: Mines shoots of wild and cultivated Juniper and also cypress. It overwinters as a small larva, resumes feeding in the spring, then pupates in May.
