Mompha epilobiella (Curtis, 1839)

Flight period: Throughout year, but mainly July and August.

Forewing:  4.5 to 6mm.

Habitat: Woods, wasteland, marshland, etc.

Larvae: May, June then August and early September in the spun shoots of a variety of willowherbs (sometimes evening primroses).
