Eristalinus sepulchralis (Linnaeus, 1758)  T.L. & B.L.

Eristalinus aeneus has a proportionately longer  abdomen which in males is a glossy bronze-black (without the dull black central area found in E.sepulchralis). It has a black thorax, and hairs only on the upper surface of the eyes (rather than the lower surface as well).  T.R. & B.R.
